Iconic Actresses is a women in film series created for the University of California at Riverside Extension by award-winning culture writer Stacy Davies to address the lack of visibility of women in university film studies courses.

Featuring over 40 full-length films and 200 clips, Iconic Actresses is the only film series of its kind in the world, and over half of the films and clips screened are from movies that are currently out-of-print and unavailable to the general public. These forgotten screen gems are brought to life through smart, passionate and entertaining lectures and after-screening discussions that shine a spotlight on the cultural atmosphere of the era in which each film was created, including fascinating production details and insight into the personal and professional histories of these iconic female stars.
